Start - Punch Fear In The Face

It has been a super busy and hectic day.  I did not want to disappoint myself and not write something, but I would encourage or rather would recommend the book START - Punch Fear In The Face/Escape Average/Do Work That Matters.  It is by Jon Acuff, another person who inspired this blog.  If you have read it, feel free to chime in with your thoughts.  If you have not read it and enjoy reading, it is an awesome read.  Make it a great one.

  1. START is a good book. Helps put things in perspective. The best underlying message is that you can be who ever you want and do whatever you want with no constrictions because of age. We place limits on ourselves. "It's too late for this, or too late for that". We give up, "I've been in sales for years, what do I look like going back to school".
I love learning, but as I've gotten older, I do find myself determining what I feel I can accomplish, or what might be "too late". That's where I enjoyed your recommendation about START. Doing, at any age, is not about how old you are, but about your desire to accomplish anything in life you desire. In the words of Yoda "Do, or Do Not". To me that is the premise of the book. "Do" and be happy doing it without putting any limitations on yourself.

  2. Bella,
I am glad you found it a great book. The author also is a great speaker. I had the privilege to hear him last year.

  4. Jeremy,
Funny thing is his book began with his awesome blog. He also moved to be under Dave Ramsey's tutelage. He really has some interesting perspectives on learning.
